Stage one of Easily Aroused’s restoration is complete. All of the posts have been returned to their rightful places, and the outgoing URLS have been resurrected.
Hoorah! (Well, that’s how I felt anyway on hitting the ’submit’ button on phpmyadmin for the 89th time.)
Now comes the really hard part: restoring all of the wonderful comments you’ve been good enough to leave me during the past 13 months. I suspect that this is going to be the task that truly tests my stamina. But what’s a blog without its comments and commentators?
So I’m left with little option but to persevere.
In the meantime, I’ve taken the precaution of adding Skippy’s Wordpress Database Back-up plugin to my armory. “Daily automatic backups” are the watchwords for this boy from here on in.
And can I just say a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to all those who’ve sent me emails, or left encouraging comments over the last week or so. They really did arrive in the nick of time: I was so daunted by the scale of the repair job ahead that I was contemplating hanging up my blogging spurs and leaving Easily Aroused behind.

Also on Wordpress - I’ve recently installed this back up too. I’ve done many restores with phpmyadmin for different boards, my best one was 165 megs. It’s the type of thing you devote a week end to and hope it’ll work out by the time your done.
Sorry to hear about the incedent, hope you’re back on your feet soon. Are they doing anything to compensate you?
