Attic of debaucheryThere’s a creaking attic bedroom that I know. I want to take you there, soon, take you by the hand and lead you slowly up the narrow, twisting staircase, up into the heat of the afternoon, where a single shaft of burnished sunlight streams in through the cracked window, and the dust motes hang in the stifling air.
