As to the matter of ’saving’ orgasms, I’d suggest that the phenomenon almost certainly has some roots in a man’s knowledge that - no matter how vigorous he may be - his orgasm is a finite commodity. There will be some sort of lull post-orgasm, while the male recovers his ability to climax; once it has returned, he will invariably find that his second orgasm is less potent than the first, and the third less dramatic than either of its forerunners. “Making it count” might be viewed by some men as a necessary philosophy. Of course, none of that takes into account the quasi-religious belief that semen=energy, and that the unwarranted spilling of it will only weaken a man in body and soul.
But given a woman’s potential for almost limitless orgasms, I can’t imagine why the hell you’d feel any sort of envy!

Me - I think I am rather selfish.
Whilst I enjoy prolonging my orgasms - teasing myself so that the end result is more intense - I usually prefer to just climax as and when, because sexual frustration is not something I deal with very well.
Plus, I find I definitely need to play prior to a date, or otherwise I am not able to concentrate (eg. listen, or interact) without being preoccupied with thoughts about sex. Hence I have discovered that having two sessions before going out tends to suffice. But occasionally three is necessary too.
