The Corrosion of Conformity

So I’m scanning a few of the blogs that have become regular reads for me over the last few weeks, and I find myself confronted by A Perfect Marriage - or to be precise, Ed and Sue’s latest assault on the visual senses. And a most pleasant and spectacular assault it was too. In addition, there was a link to Doogooder’s blog, and his impromptu wet t-shirt ‘contest’.
Later that evening, MW is sipping some wine while she does a little casual surfing. She follows my tracks first to Ed and Sue’s site, then to Doogooder’s.
“I could do that,” she says after staring at the screen for a time.
“Host a wet t-shirt contest?” I ask absently.
“Wear a wet t-shirt.”
I look up from my book. “But I’ve seen you in a wet t-shirt.”
“I know.” MW points at the screen. “But nobody out there has.”
That’s enough of a line for me to put the book down completely. “Are you sure that’s something you want to do?”
She smiles.
Suitably liquored up, and armed with a digital camera and a hitherto unused flower sprayer, we set about capturing MW adorned with a soaked through, short-sleeved upper body garment. Actually, it was a vest as opposed to a t-shirt, but who really cares whether biceps and triceps are dressed or not? It took us a while to capture an image we were both happy with. I couldn’t figure out why her nipples weren’t rising as quickly as expected, until I realised that she’d filled the sprayer with warm water! A change to cold quickly produced the desired effect though.
I’m not sure how long this post will be staying up. When MW views her effort actually floating free in Cyber-land, she may well demand a swift change of plan…
