This blog was previously hosted over at Indecent Blogging, but after a series of ’spam attacks’, a major server crash and now bandwidth problems, I decided I’d like a little more autonomy - as well as some additional creative control - and struck out on my own.
I’m still getting to grips with the WordPress system, and I’ve yet to add all the comments my posts received over at IB, but the blog is taking some sort of shape, and I’m hoping to resume normal service - i.e. talking about sex - in the not-too-distant future.
So for those of you new to the blog … Welcome!
And for those of you revisiting … Welcome back!

I don’t know yet if Indecentblogging is just down temporarily, or whether it’s bitten the dust permanently - I’m one of the larger blogs on there, and have yet to receive a single email from our host telling us what’s going on, despite requests to him. He’s been on his honeymoon, apparently, which hasn’t helped, but a little information would be nice! Ah well - most frustrating!
I’m seriously considering a move across to blogspot, and have already created a dummy blog there if Indecentblogging doesn’t return - it’s all very frustrating!

from what I gleaned from Red’s journal (www.redsneakersdiaries.com) IB’s demise is looking somewhat fatal. Good to see that you’ve already planted a new flag over at ‘Blogger’ though. Hopefully, some of the other miscreants from IB will resurface soon as well!

Thanks, John. I’m glad you approve of the site, and it’s good to see your own blog back up and running over at Blogger. Hopefully, now that ‘Indecent’ is back, the problems at IB will be rectified in short order, returning things to the way they were pre-July.
That said, having made the break, I’ll be remaining here as an independent. I enjoy the greater sense of autonomy I have. IB was (and, hopefully, will be again) a great learning environment for anyone considering creating their first adult-themed blog. Personally, I found that as I became more comfortable with the mechanics of blogging, I felt increasingly constricted by IB’s limitations: no way to moderate comments, no email notification of new comments, no easy way to create categories and archive links etc. etc. I was already considering purchasing my own domain and setting up independently: the mass spam attacks and the server crashes just brought the move forward.
Of course, all of the above and more may well be features that IB will have in the near-future. I hope so. I also hope that for those working to a limited budget, the service will either remain free (though I think ‘Indecent’ needs to come up with a marketing strategy that will enable him to generate a reasonable income from his efforts) or at a minimum price.
Regardless, I’m grateful to Indecent Blogging for getting me started, and for introducing me to new and stimulating viewpoints on the world of sex. Whether it be at IB or Blogger, I’ll be keeping an eye out for you.
